Comments:	Never had any problems with Amazon refunding the difference in a price drop. I shop Amazon all the time. I love the 30 day price protection from the day of shipment! I would be too embarrassed to use this option at an actual store, but with Amazon the process is smooth and I don't have to call and bother a customer service rep (I work in the customer service industry and prefer to leave these poor people alone unless absolutely necessary.)

So you have to make a little gamble each time it drops, guessing whether it will drop again or go up. The process was easy though and exactly as the directions from priceprotectr said.

I emailed & requested a $3.00 refund after the mattress pad I purchased dropped $3.00 in Amazon's Friday Sale. I received an email 24 hours later, after the sale ended, denying the refund because Amazon doesn't price match prices offered by "other vendors". The mattress pad was purchased from Amazon.Com & the sale offered was from Amazon.Com not another vendor. Out of the country customer service doesn't have a clue what amazon's price protection policy is about. I am still battling this & have not received my refund. This is the first time I've had any problems with Amazon's price protection policy. My item qualifies according to their policy but this refund request HAS NOT been easy & they are not honoring their policy. This will deninitely make me think twice before purchasing from Amazon.Com again.

I simply used the "Refund Inquiry" email form from Amazon.com, indicated the price drop, my shipment date (which is when the 30-day price guarantee begins), and said "and I would like to take advantage of your 30-day Price Guarantee for the difference of $11.00." In 24-hours I got a reply from Amazon confirming that they will be crediting my account! Sweet!

The item dropped by $0.50 but then went back to the original price the next day, so by the time Amazon.com got my email message, the price was back up. I called Amazon.com customer service (well, they called me through that new feature on their website) and the guy said he would look into it and credit me the price drop. Two days later I did finally get the credit I was promised, so it all worked out in the end.Next time I am just going to do it over the phone the first time. I also expect that it would be necessary to have a screenshot/saved PDF of the page if the difference was more than, say, just $0.50.

Comments:	The policy is 100% accurate. I sent a single e-mail via their web form and did not have to fight for the refund. Additionally, I received the refund promptly.It was somewhat difficult to locate where on the website to find the correct form to contact them through.
