We blogged recently about a 99% price drop. It really happened. A six-volume, leather-bound set of literature from a well-known, 19th-century British author had an original price of nearly $2000. For some reason, Amazon sold its last few for just $15. That's right. FIFTEEN BUCKS. We were tempted. Within 20 minutes, they were gone. Just goes to show, early bird catches the price drops, but only at Price Protectr.

Ok, so it's almost time for scholars of all ages to go back to school. Why not tell your studious family and friends how to save money, too? We finally launched a way to invite your address book. Find it at our home page -- "tell a friend". It's easy, costs nothing, and you already know how much money they could save. Who knows -- maybe they'll find the next 99% price drop!

New ways to save!

So, the good folks here at Price Protectr are always looking for ways to save you money and be a real shopping companion.

If you haven't signed up for the Price Drop of the Day e-mail, you should. That's how you would have found out about the 99% price drop. We pick the biggest price drops from the day and send them to you first every morning. Who knows what deal you'll get? You can sign up in the notification preferences section of your account settings page.

We also launched recently Price Watching and Price Targeting. Now you can watch prices on stuff that you haven't bought, but are thinking about buying. That way, you can know when the price goes down. When you use Price Protectr, you're getting to know when prices drop before anyone else, and many times items sell out not long after we post them.
