Announcing Item Profiles

Today we launched item profiles, which allows you to see historic price information for all the products we link to. On the deals page and in your My Stuff account, you'll see a "more details" link for every item. Clicking on that will bring you to an item profile page like this.

As you can see, we display price trends, highs & lows, and all the price drops we've seen for that item. Just another weapon for your shopping arsenal.

It would be really great if we could see prices from before we purchased the item. I would love to know whether the item was cheaper or more expensive during the few weeks or month just before I bought it, so that I can have a better idea of whether or not to expect the price to move at all during the price protection period.

Also, on a separate note, I'd love to have a feature to watch items I'm thinking about buying that would notify me if the price ever drops below a certain number so that I can buy it then.

Thanks Amy! If anyone else protected the item before you, you'll see it. If you were the first one, it will start when you first protected the item. We're looking into ways of getting more historical pricing information.

A price watch feature will be coming soon. Stay tuned :-)
